When i receive emails with job offers from high profile company what should i do? How to handle spoof and Phishing emails?
The objective of this article is to present all a clear view
on the fraudulent activities carried out on job offers. The people who are desperate
in seeking good job are the targets of this fraudulent activity. The scammers
crawl through the job searching websites to get the list of the people who have
posted their CVs for the job. Your mail ID is enough to make you as target for
the scam. It is not that you can be immune to these scams if you haven’t posted
your CVs to the job search websites. You can be in target if you have ever
received any SPAM mail.
How to spot the fake
job offers
If you receive any mail job offer,
- first step back then have keen look at the mail ID you have received the mail from. Check several times whether the mail ID belongs to the particular company they have specified.
- Usually the fraudulent mail may belong to the Gmail, live, hotmail, etc from which one can easily identify the scammer.
- Then if the mail has specified to pay an amount to a bank account, first think whether the reputed company will ask you to pay an amount for accommodation, flight charges before offering a job and after offering a job.

To conclude, the age old saying “if its looks too good to be
true...” especially applies here. Don’t accept jobs that are advertised through
unsolicited mail. Don’t accept jobs that say you can work from home receiving
cheques or packages and forwarding them on. Never use money transfer services
like Western Union or Money Gram to send payments for whatever reason. Be skeptical
of menial job offers that you receive via email that are for little hours and
large pay and NEVER EVER pay anything to get a job. If you receive any mail to
offer for you a job with a huge amount, do the RESEARCH. Google is there to
help you! or else contact us.
